Botox

The wrinkles in the face area are caused by the contractions of under the skin lying mimic muscles. Of the non-invasive face rejuvenation methods, we are using botox therapy mostly for the treatment of wrinkles in the upper part of the face and filling material injections for the wrinkles at the lower parts of the face.

Botox is bacterial toxin causing muscle relaxation. It is a remedy, which has been used in the treatment of several diseases since 20 years, and became also very popular for cosmetic reasons recently.

The injection of the toxin works by relaxing the muscles that pull on the skin and form a wrinkle, which is resulting in improvement or complete disappearance of the wrinkled skin area. It is a method which is predominantly preferred in the treatment of the wrinkles in the upper part of the face like improving deep vertical creases between the eyebrows (frown lines), horizontal furrows on the forehead (surprise lines), and crow's feet (squint lines) to the side of the eyes. 

The toxin is injected in very small amounts by a very fine needle into the appropriate muscle causing relaxation of the muscle and temporary blockage of nerve transmission. The wrinkles will improve after the relaxation of the certain muscle.  

The improvement of the wrinkles become visible within 2 weeks after the injections and stay up to 4 months. It is applicable to everyone except pregnant women and certain neurological diseases.
