Classical Face & Neck Lift

The goal of the classical face and neck lift is to enhance the appearance of the aging face and neck by tightening the sagging tissues of the face and neck, and by removal of excessive skin and fatty tissue by incisions placed in front of and behind the ear and at the hairline. The incisions in front of the ear are the only one who is visible after the operation. For this reason only very thin sutures are used to reduce the scars. The face lift can be performed alone or together with forehead lift, eyelid surgery or nose surgery. The best candidates for face lift surgery are those with a loose, elastic skin and a strong bone structure. Most of the patients are in their 60's. A face lift will help you to look younger, fresher and will also improve your self-confidence.

The procedure will last between 3-5 hours, depending on the surgical technique chosen by your surgeon. The procedure will be performed either under general anesthesia or a dissociative anesthesia (sedation without general anesthesia) according to the wish of the patient.

Usually there are no problems after the surgery. The prescriptions of your surgeons will help you to deal with pain and other slight side effects of the operation. The minimal hypoesthesia of the skin after the operation is quite normal and will relieve in a couple of weeks or months. Most of the patients return to their daily life in 10 days to 2 weeks.
